I play two guitars at the moment - a Fender USA "Plus" Strat, and a Yamaha SG700s. In general, the Strat gets used for the clean, pickier stuff (Higher Than Reason, Solved), and the Yammy is used for the rockers (Agony, Building)

Patch changing on both the GX700 and the PSA 1 (see <a href="fxrack.html">fx rack</a> for details) are performed via a Roland FC200 midi foot controller, one of the most wonderful pieces of equipment it has ever been my pleasure to use.

Effects are supplied via a Boss GX700 rack, which runs in the stereo effects loop of the Sansamp PSA 1. Using the effects loop means that effects like chorus, reverb, delay, flanging and phasing sound very much nicer. It does mean that I can't use the distortions or pre-amps on the GX700 (cos they sound shit in the effects loop), but that's basically what the sansamp does.
